The Scottish Chapter will be returning to Glasgow in 2012 for their fourth Regional Awards Lunch where they will celebrate excellence in office space within their region.

The beautifully refurbished Grand Central Hotel, originally designed in 1883 by Scottish architect Robert Rowand Anderson, will act as a stunning setting for the Scottish Awards Lunch. Drinks will be hosted in the Grand Room Foyer before guests are seated for a 3-course lunch in the Grand Room. The lunch will begin with entertainment from a guest speaker Len Murray followed by the announcement of the BCO Regional Award winners for Scotland.
Speaker - Len Murray
Len Murray, who was described by a High Court judge as the most respected pleader of his generation, practiced as a solicitor in Glasgow for over 40 years until his retirement in 2003.
Among the benchmark cases with which he was involved was that of Tony Miller, the last person to be hanged in Glasgow's Barlinnie Prison. He acted for Scottish Television in the case against the Nazi war criminal Anton Gecas.
He made a cheeky defence of Paul McCartney when he was arrested on drugs charges and was the only solicitor ever to be retained by both Rangers and Celtic when players from both sides were accused of a breach of the peace during a match.
